Code of Conduct

The shared values that make Crosspoint work.

Our commitment

Crosspoint is committed to providing a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all participants. This Code of Conduct outlines expectations for how everyone in the Crosspoint community — participants, mentors, partners, and staff — should interact with each other. We believe that genuine relationships are built on a foundation of mutual respect, trust, and accountability.

Expected behaviour

All participants agree to:

  • Treat everyone with respect, regardless of background, experience, or perspective
  • Listen actively and engage genuinely in conversations
  • Be punctual and prepared for all sessions and scheduled meetings
  • Keep an open mind and be willing to learn from others
  • Take responsibility for your own conduct and its impact on others
  • Support the success of other cohort members
  • Follow through on commitments and relationships
  • Use inclusive language and avoid making assumptions about others
  • Honour the confidentiality of the cohort — what's shared here stays here

Unacceptable behaviour

The following behaviours are not acceptable and may result in removal from the programme:

  • Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind (based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, age, or any other protected characteristic)
  • Disrespect or contempt toward other participants, mentors, or staff
  • Breach of confidentiality or sharing of private information about other cohort members
  • Dishonesty or misrepresentation of yourself or your background
  • Aggressive, abusive, or threatening language or behaviour
  • Sexual harassment or inappropriate behaviour of any kind
  • Use of alcohol or drugs in a way that impairs your ability to participate safely
  • Repeated failure to attend sessions or honour commitments
  • Attempting to use the cohort for personal financial gain or exploitation
  • Any illegal activity

Confidentiality

What happens in Crosspoint stays in Crosspoint. All participants commit to maintaining confidentiality of:

  • Personal information shared by other participants (background, career aspirations, challenges, etc.)
  • Specific conversations or discussions that took place during sessions
  • Details about other people's professional situations or circumstances
  • The identities of mentors and partners involved in the programme

You may discuss your own experience of Crosspoint with others. You may keep notes of insights or learnings for your own benefit. But you should not share details about other people without their consent.

Reporting a concern

If you witness or experience behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, we encourage you to report it. You can:

  • Contact the Crosspoint team directly at info@crosspointcollective.com.au
  • Speak with a cohort facilitator in person or privately
  • Request an anonymous report if you prefer

We take all reports seriously and will investigate promptly and confidentially. We will not tolerate retaliation against anyone for reporting a concern in good faith.

Enforcement

Crosspoint is committed to enforcing this Code of Conduct fairly and consistently. Depending on the severity of the issue, responses may include:

  • A conversation to clarify expectations
  • A written warning
  • Temporary suspension from sessions
  • Permanent removal from the programme (with no refund of fees)
  • Referral to relevant authorities if illegal activity is involved

The Crosspoint team will use judgment in determining appropriate responses based on the specific circumstances.
