Most early career networking is random, transactional, and produces business cards nobody calls. We built Crosspoint because we know there's a better way.
Why we built this
There's a gap between what people need and what's actually available. University students and early career professionals want real relationships with mentors and peers. They want clarity on their career direction. They want to know how the professional world actually works. But what's on offer is usually either transactional (go to a networking event, collect contacts) or impersonal (sign up for an online mentorship matching app). Nothing bridges that gap with real structure and accountability.
We watched people graduate, enter the workforce, and struggle to build the kinds of relationships that actually shape careers. They'd meet someone interesting at an event, exchange details, and then... nothing. No follow-up. No deepening. Just a LinkedIn connection they'd never speak to again.
So we asked: what if relationships could be built more intentionally? What if small cohorts of the right people, structured over 10 weeks, with clear follow-through, actually produced real professional relationships? What if mentorship wasn't about one-off advice but genuine engagement? That question led to Crosspoint.
What we believe
Relationships, not contacts
Real connection requires structure, time, and follow-through — things most networking events don't provide. You can meet a thousand people and still be alone professionally. Or you can know 12 people deeply and have a real career support network.
Quality over volume
A small cohort of the right people, structured well, will always produce better outcomes than a room of 500 strangers. The relationships that matter are built slowly, with people who show up consistently and engage genuinely.
Inclusive by design
Crosspoint is deliberately welcoming to people who don't describe themselves as 'natural networkers'. The structure does the heavy lifting so you don't have to perform confidence you don't feel. Authenticity matters more than polish.
