Crosspoint is designed for university students in their penultimate or final year, recent graduates, and early career professionals typically within their first three years of working. But more than demographics — we're looking for people who are serious about building a career, curious about their field, and willing to invest time in a structured programme. You don't need to be naturally outgoing or have the most impressive résumé. You need to show up, engage thoughtfully, and commit to follow-through.
Absolutely. While some cohort members may be university students, Crosspoint welcomes recent graduates and early career professionals (typically within the first 3 years of working). What matters is your genuine interest in building professional relationships and your willingness to show up consistently over 10 weeks. If you're curious about whether you fit, reach out — we're happy to discuss.
We review each application on a combination of factors: your goals, your background, your field of interest, and how you'd fit within the cohort. We're not looking for the highest-achieving candidates. We're looking for people who are ready to show up genuinely and commit to follow-through. We consider complementarity — will this cohort of people create diverse, interesting conversations? Selection decisions are communicated within two weeks of the application close date. If you're selected, congratulations. If you're not, we'll encourage you to apply to the next cohort.
Expect to commit roughly two to three hours per week across the 10-week programme. This includes the weekly session (usually 1.5–2 hours) plus short follow-up activities between sessions. Sessions are scheduled for the same time each week so you can plan around it. Attendance is expected — missed sessions affect the cohort dynamic, not just you. We ask for a genuine commitment before you apply. If you're not sure you can make the time, let's talk — the worst thing is to join and not be fully present.
Sessions are held in Sydney, Australia. We currently plan for in-person sessions, as the face-to-face element is important to relationship-building. However, we understand that life happens — if you need to join a session remotely occasionally, we can usually accommodate that. If you're outside Sydney and interested, reach out to discuss options. We want serious participants, wherever they are.
Yes, there is a cost to join Crosspoint. Pricing will be announced ahead of our first cohort. We're still finalising costs, but we wanted to be transparent about the fact that this isn't free. However, we're committed to making it accessible. Scholarship places may be available for participants who would otherwise face financial barriers to joining. Full pricing details and scholarship information will be shared during the application process.
Yes. We believe great professional relationships shouldn't be gatekept by money. We aim to make Crosspoint accessible regardless of financial background. Scholarship support is available based on demonstrated need. During the application process, you'll have the opportunity to discuss financial barriers and explore scholarship options. If cost is a concern for you, don't let that stop you from applying. Let's talk.
Mentors join selected cohort sessions (usually 2–3 per cohort), take part in curated one-on-one or small group conversations with participants, and make themselves available for follow-up meetings after the programme if there's genuine fit. They're not asked to coach or solve problems. Their role is to share perspective, open relevant doors where they can, and engage genuinely with participants. Mentors are people with credible professional experience who believe in this approach and want to help shape the next generation.
Introductions aren't random. We match participants with peers and mentors based on background, goals, field of interest, and potential fit. Before each introduction, we brief both parties on who they're meeting and why. This intentional matching means conversations tend to be more genuine and valuable. You're not meeting everyone — you're meeting the right people at the right time in a structured way.
All Crosspoint participants agree to a shared code of conduct before joining. It covers respect, confidentiality, genuine engagement, and follow-through. What's shared in the cohort stays in the cohort. We expect participants to show up on time, engage thoughtfully, and commit to the relationships they're building. These standards aren't about rules for rules' sake. They're about creating an environment where people can be genuinely themselves and build real connections. You can read the full code of conduct here.
Yes. Application details are only seen by the Crosspoint team and are handled in accordance with our privacy policy. Information shared within cohort sessions is also held confidentially — all participants agree to a shared code of conduct before joining. Your data is treated carefully and securely. We don't share your information with third parties without your consent, except where necessary to run the programme (e.g., your cohort mentors will know your name and goals). Read our full privacy policy for more details.
Life happens. If you need to miss a session, we get it. Let us know as soon as possible. However, attendance is expected — missed sessions affect the cohort dynamic, not just you. If you know in advance that you won't be able to commit to showing up consistently over 10 weeks, we'd rather you apply to a future cohort when you can be fully present. If you're selected and something unexpected comes up during the programme, talk to us. We'll work with you.
The 10 weeks ends, but the relationships don't. We provide a post-programme follow-up framework — guidance on how to maintain and continue the relationships you've built. You'll have access to the broader Crosspoint alumni network, so you can continue connecting with people from your cohort and previous cohorts. Many participants stay in touch with their cohort members long after the programme ends. Some relationships with mentors continue. The goal of Crosspoint is to produce relationships that matter beyond the 10 weeks — and many do.
We're actively looking for mentors and partners who believe in what we're building. If you're an experienced professional interested in mentoring, head to the mentors page and fill out the mentor interest form. If you're an organisation interested in sponsorship or partnership, visit the sponsors page. Or you can reach out directly at info@crosspointcollective.com.au. We'd love to hear from you.
